Pastor's Appreciation Ministry PDF Print E-mail

Mission Statement:  The Pastor's Appreciation Ministry leads the church membership in offering support and sensitivity to the personal needs and functions of the pastor and his family.  This ministry also supports and recognizes Mt. Zion's clergy staff.  Our ministry is committed to prayer and devotion on behalf of the pastor, his family, clergy and leadership of the church.

Paul wrote the following words to the church at Thessalonica:

“Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work.”  ~ I Thessalonians 5:12-13

 Who We Are

The Pastor’s Appreciation Ministry finds ways to express genuine appreciation to Rev. Louis M. Murphy, Sr., Senior Pastor, and his fellow clergymen of the church. It's clear from scripture the faithful and dedicated ministers of this church are worthy of appreciation and honor.

The appreciation of our Rev. Murphy is more than an event on the calendar.  It provides an excellent opportunity for the congregation to affirm our love and appreciation for those who are called by God to lead us in fulfilling the Great Commission. Traditionally, the month of October has been designated as Pastor & Clergymen Appreciation Month.
