PAY: $12.73 per hour. (25 – 38 hours/wk) 

Job Description 

This is recreation and youth development work in assisting with camps by monitoring activities, providing instructions, facilitating and planning group programs, and maintaining facilities in a safe, efficient, and productive manner. Work of this class involves leadership and instructional responsibilities to youth involved in nature-based activities. Work involves actively engaging youth in positive character building and youth development activities. Employees in this position are expected to be able to perform any and all work tasks and comply with any work schedules, attendance, or duty requirements which may be established by City or department rules. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

High school graduate or GED equivalency with some experience in conducting organized developmental and recreational programs and activities for youth. 

Work Schedule: 

This is a seasonal position that will work November 22-24, December 20-24, and December 27-31. If all goes well, the applicant could be offered the opportunity to work summer camps (end of May through the beginning of August – up to 40 hrs/week).

18+ with a high school diploma, pass a background check, and drug test.
